We are a group of individuals who share an interest in rocks, minerals, gems, earth sciences and the lapidary arts. The society was formed in 1964 as a non-profit organization and incorporated in 1966. The purpose of the society is to promote knowledge and interest in the earth sciences, lapidary arts and jewelry design. Due to the interests and skills of the members, there is a heavy focus on lapidary arts and jewelry making.

Coquina Kids Club
We have an amazing program to get children and teenagers involved and learning about the world of gems and minerals. They meet the same evenings as the adult monthly meetings and must have an adult with them They learn about the Rock of the month and will make a jewelry project utilizing that rock. They can also attend the workshop on Sundays from 3-6 to continue to learn more advanced skills. They learn to make Cabochons and other various projects. |
